AboutFullstack DeveloperMy time :
I build the whole thing, then secure it.

I'm Dominique Degottex, a fullstack developer. I've spent my career on both sides of the tree, from the interfaces people touch to the systems behind them, shipping products from first commit to production.
Lately I've been pointing that experience at security. Years of building software teach you exactly how it fails, and I want to work on the side that keeps it standing: secure engineering, hardening, and understanding attacks from the inside out.
The projects on this site are the proof: open-source tooling, a theme business and a live visual editor, each built end to end and built to last.

Founder, Design & Build · Magpie
A desktop app that turns any website into clean data: scrape, crawl, extract, watch and research the web from your own machine, on your own API keys, for one flat price with no credits. The hard part was a scraper that holds up on real pages without renting someone else's cloud.

Creator & Maintainer · UserTour Kit
An open-source product-tour library for the web: walkthroughs, tooltips and onboarding flows that don't fight the framework. Built because onboarding is where most products quietly lose their users, and most tour tools quietly break their host page.

Founder, Design & Build · AstroCraft Themes
A shop for production-ready Astro site templates. Theme architecture, typography and SEO done once, properly, so buyers start from a finished foundation instead of a blank repo.

Founder, Design & Build · AstroCraft Editor
A live visual editor for Astro sites: pick a theme, customize it in the browser, and leave with a real codebase. No export step, no proprietary lock-in. The hard part was making a visual editor write code a developer would still respect.

In my words
“Years of building software teach you exactly how it fails. That's why I'm moving into security, from the builder's side of the table, where the fixes actually land.”
